- At the opening of any gathering or shared deliberation For a Gathering An opening reading for any group that has come together to think about something difficult. It sets terms rather than tone: who speaks, what may be admitted, and what nobody is required to reach by the end.
- At the Vigil of Consequence; after a decision made about you by a system For Those Harmed by Systems A reading for people injured by automated decisions, surveillance, discrimination, or institutional processes with no reachable person behind them. It names the harm as real and refuses the explanation that no one was responsible.
